SmartBJJ is operated by Fine Apps LLC, a Virginia limited liability company ("Fine Apps LLC," "we", "our", "us"). We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use the SmartBJJ mobile application (the "App").

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following types of information:

• Account Information: Name, email address, and user ID when you use Apple Sign-In, Google Sign-In, or email and password.
• Profile Information: Date of birth, belt rank, preferred positions, and training preferences you provide during onboarding.
• Training Data: Training sessions, competition records, and performance metrics you enter into the App.
• Videos and Photos: Training and rolling videos you upload for AI analysis. These are stored securely and used solely to provide technique feedback.
• Purchase History: Records of in-app purchases and subscription status, managed through Apple's StoreKit.
• Usage Data: Information about how you interact with the App, including feature usage and error logs, to improve our service.
• Queued Requests: If a chat or training-plan request cannot finish, its content and context may be stored in your account-scoped cloud queue so it can resume securely on another signed-in device. Completed queue payloads are cleared and their short-lived deduplication records expire.
• Apple Ads Attribution: When available, Apple may provide a temporary attribution token and campaign, ad group, keyword, creative, country/region, and conversion identifiers. We also store a random app-install ID; it is not a hardware advertising identifier.
• Advertising and Device Data: The Meta SDK receives SmartBJJ conversion events such as completed registration, trial or subscription starts, and credit purchases, including product, currency, and amount, along with limited device, technical, or crash data used for advertising measurement, campaign optimization, operation, and security. Access to Apple's device advertising identifier and permission to track activity across other companies' apps and websites are controlled by Apple's App Tracking Transparency setting.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide and personalize the App's features, including AI-powered video analysis and training recommendations.
• To process and manage your account and subscriptions.
• To sync your data across devices via our cloud service.
• To improve the App's performance and fix issues.
• To communicate with you about your account or the App.

3. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

• Supabase: For authentication, database storage, and file storage. Data is stored securely on Supabase's infrastructure.
• OpenAI: Selected video frames, match context, training context, and chat messages are sent to OpenAI to generate analysis and coaching responses. We exclude your account name, email address, and user ID from AI prompts, although uploaded imagery may itself show identifiable people. Background analysis uses provider-side response storage that may retain submitted content and generated responses for up to 30 days.
• Apple Sign-In / Google Sign-In / Email Authentication: For secure authentication. Depending on the method you choose, we receive your email address, name, and a unique account identifier.
• Apple Ads: For privacy-preserving install and campaign attribution as described above.
• Meta Platforms: For advertising measurement and campaign optimization using registration, subscription, trial, and purchase events. If you deny Apple's tracking request, Meta may still receive events and technical signals that do not use Apple's advertising identifier, but SmartBJJ does not authorize tracking across other companies' apps and websites without the required system permission.
• Apple StoreKit: For processing in-app purchases and subscriptions. Payment information is handled entirely by Apple.

We use service providers whose applicable agreements, data-protection terms, and security commitments require confidentiality and protections for personal data that are at least equivalent to those described in this Policy and required by applicable law. We do not authorize these providers to use your information for their own unrelated purposes.

4. AI Processing Consent

When you create an account or sign in, the App presents links to these Terms and the Privacy Policy beside the action you take to continue. Your acceptance is recorded in your account. SmartBJJ's AI features operate as described in those linked documents, and choosing to use an AI feature records your permission for the processing needed to provide it. You may withdraw permission at any time under Profile > Privacy & Legal > AI Processing. Withdrawal stops future OpenAI processing. If you later choose to use an AI feature, SmartBJJ will ask you to confirm before processing, and that confirmation records your permission again. Withdrawal does not reverse processing that was completed before permission was withdrawn, but you may delete your account or contact us regarding deletion as described below.

5. Refund Reviews with Apple

If you ask Apple for a refund on a SmartBJJ purchase, Apple may ask us for information about that purchase. When you create an account or sign in, your acceptance of these linked documents includes permission for this limited sharing, and that permission is recorded in your account. If you request a refund, we may send Apple a short summary about the purchase you are disputing: whether SmartBJJ delivered it and was working, whether a free trial or sample was available before you bought it, and whether we think Apple should grant or decline the refund. We form that view from your SmartBJJ activity during the period the purchase covers, but we do not send Apple your videos, analyses, chats, training data, or profile details. Apple uses what we send as one input when it reviews your request, and Apple makes the final decision. You may withdraw permission at any time under Profile > Privacy & Legal > Refund Reviews, which stops any future sharing, and withdrawing never affects your access to SmartBJJ. Apple handles data it receives under Apple's own privacy policy, and you may contact Apple about that data at privacy.apple.com.

6. Advertising Measurement and Tracking Choice

You may deny Apple's App Tracking Transparency request without losing access to SmartBJJ, and you can later change the permission in iOS Settings. Denying permission prevents access to Apple's advertising identifier and cross-company tracking, but Meta may still receive app events and limited technical signals for measurement that do not use that identifier. Apple Ads attribution may also provide privacy-preserving campaign information that does not use the hardware advertising identifier or track you across other companies' apps and websites.

7. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on Supabase's secure cloud infrastructure with row-level security policies ensuring you can only access your own data. API keys and sensitive configuration are stored server-side and never reach your device. We use encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS) for all data transfers.

8. Data Retention

We retain your data while your account is active. Account deletion removes your profile, training content, chats, analyses, thumbnails, pending queued requests, attribution records, and stored files as part of the deletion process. We retain de-identified Apple transaction identifiers and notification/accounting facts when necessary to prevent duplicate entitlements, process refunds, satisfy financial obligations, and defend against fraud; the account UUID and notification payloads are removed. OpenAI background responses may remain with OpenAI for up to 30 days under the processing described above. Protected source clips and thumbnails stored locally are deleted when you delete the account in the App.

9. Your Rights and Choices

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Request correction of inaccurate data.
• Request deletion of your account and associated data.
• Export your training data.
• Withdraw permission for future OpenAI processing under Profile > Privacy & Legal > AI Processing.
• Deny or withdraw Meta advertising tracking through Apple's system tracking setting without losing access to the App.

10. Children's Privacy

The App is not intended for children under 13. Onboarding requires a date of birth indicating the user is at least 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected such information, please contact us immediately.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the App or via email and request renewed acknowledgment or consent when required. The effective date above identifies the current version.
